Bulgaria Celebrates May 24 in Morocco
On May 24 – the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture, and Slavic literature – a ceremonial event dedicated to one of Bulgaria’s most cherished national holidays took place at the residence of the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Morocco.
The event was organized at the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Morocco, Mr. Plamen Tsolov, and brought together members of the Bulgarian community, and guests connected to Bulgarian education and culture.
Among the attendees were Moroccan citizens who had completed their higher education in Bulgaria. With nostalgia and appreciation, they shared memories of their time in the country and reflected on their lasting connection with Bulgaria. The celebration was also attended by children from the “Rodolyubie” Sunday School, whose presence added a special atmosphere and joyful spirit to the occasion.
Representatives of higher education in Bulgaria were also present at the event, including Eng. Sofia Ivanova, CEO of “Study in Bulgaria,” and representatives of the Center for Bulgarian Higher Education in Rabat. Their participation highlighted the importance of educational cooperation between Bulgaria and Morocco and showcased the opportunities Bulgarian universities offer to international students.
