The team of Inter HECS – Study in Bulgaria, the biggest agency for recruitment of international students to Bulgarian universities, has prepared detailed information regarding admission to Sofia Medical University in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2024:

1. Sofia Medical University: Study programs offered in English language – International students apply usually for Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy or Nursing in English.
2. Sofia Medical University: Deadlines for submission of the application documents – applicants can submit their documents between 29.07.2024 and 10.09.2024.
3. Sofia Medical University: Entrance exam dates, retakes and fees – EU and EEA applicants sit the entrance exam on 13 September 2024 (the results come out on 19.09.2024), whereas non-EU citizens sit the entrance exam on 17 September 2024 (the results come out on 20.09.2024). There is no retake. The exam fee is 400 BGN.
4. Sofia Medical University: Ranking day and ranking formula – Ranking of all candidates comes out on 25 September 2024. The maximum score is 30.00 and the formula is: high school grade in Biology PLUS high school grade in Chemistry PLUS entrance exam grade in Biology PLUS entrance exam grade in Chemistry PLUS entrance exam grade in English.  All grades are according to the Bulgarian grading scale from 2 to 6.
5. Sofia Medical University: Enrollment dates and deadlines – Students who are included in the ranking of accepted students need to enroll personally at Sofia Medical University by 18 October 2024 the latest. The academic year starts on 21 October 2024.
