On 22 April 2024 representatives of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski visited Al Qasimia University in the United Arab Emirates. A memorandum for understanding was signed between both parties – this marks the first agreement signed between a Bulgarian university and a university in the United Arab Emirates. Organizers of the event included the Bulgarian embassy in the United Arab Emirated as well as Inter HECS – Study in Bulgaria Ltd.
