About the university
The Agricultural University of Plovdiv was founded in 1945. Nowadays, it comprises a department of languages and sports and four different faculties: The Faculty of Agronomy, The Faculty of Horticulture and Viticulture, Faculty of Plant Protection and Agroecology, The Faculty of Economics. Application & Entry requirements

About the city
Plovdiv is the second biggest city in Bulgaria and it was pronounced to be the European Capital Culture in 2019! There are indeed many festivals, galleries and museums that will keep you busy every weekend. You should not worry about the language too – the local language is Bulgarian, but locals do speak English and restaurants usually always have an English menu available!
The city center of Plovdiv is lovely – in your free time you can enjoy traditional Bulgarian dishes or visit international restaurants around the pedestrian part of the city, go for a walk in the park, ride a bike along Maritsa river, explore Bulgarian history and architecture in the Old Town or go for a cup of coffee in the Kapana creative district!
