On 10th January 2024, Inter HECS – Study in Bulgaria participated as a co-organizer in the opening of the Information Center of Bulgarian higher education in the city of Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco. The center will provide information about educational opportunities at Bulgarian universities. In June, a similar center will be opened in Bulgaria, which will present the opportunities offered by higher education institutions in Morocco – Inter HECS is honoured to assist with this initiative.

Inter HECS – Study in Bulgaria, as a leading educational consulting agency for recruitment of international students to Bulgarian universities, was the only agency present at the event. The company will be responsible for all administrative work related to submission of university application documents to the information center.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Maria Gabriel was a special guest at the opening ceremony. Following the occasion, she described the event on her official Facebook page as “a new stage in the partnership between the two countries and a step to deepen the educational and cultural ties between Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Morocco”.

• Mr. Krastyu Krastev, the Minister of Culture
• prof. Dr. Georgi Valchev, the rector of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”
• Mr. Krasimir Valchev, the chairman of the Commission for Education and Science in the National Assembly
• rectors and representatives of seven other Bulgarian universities, incl. Plovdiv Medical University, Trakia University, Burgas University Prof. Asen Zlatarov, Technical University – Sofia, National Sports Academy, University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy
• representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science in Morocco and rectors of Moroccan universities;

The Department of International Relations of Plovdiv Medical University, Trakia University as well as the Bulgarian National Television and media outlets in Morocco shared information about the event too.

“We are happy that, as of today, this center is already a fact, because it is a serious step forward in the educational partnership between Bulgaria and Morocco. And with it, our students will have much easier access to universities in Bulgaria, because they will be able to quickly receive accurate information here on the spot,” shared Ms. Sana Zebak, Director of International Partnerships at the Ministry of Culture of Morocco.

The Bulgarian delegation also met the Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Professional Training of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Mohamed Khalfaoui, and directors of different departments of the Moroccan Ministry. The two sides exchanged their ideas, views and goals regarding the partnership between the two countries and the importance of the newly opened information center.
