Entry requirements for 2026 admission to Burgas University have now been officially announced!

Entrance exam for admission:

• Entrance exam dates: 30 July, 20 August, 8 September 2026
• Entrance exam sections: The entrance exam consists of two tests – Biology and Chemistry plus English Language Diagnostic test (only for non-native speakers who do not have any of the required valid English proficiency certificates). 
• Entrance exam fee: 300 EUR.
• Entrance exam results: Coming out a week after the exam.
• Exam rules: The online exam is recorded. Students must have a webcam. In the event of any suspicious results or activities, Burgas University has the right to suspend the candidate.

Ranking system:

• Choice of study program: Medicine in English
• Ranking dates: 6 August, 26 August, 14 September 2026
• Ranking formula:

  Students are ranked according to their high school grades and entrance exam. It is calculated as follows:

  [L] – The grade from the diploma in the official language of the country where the diploma was obtained.
  [B] – The grade from the entrance exam in Biology.
  [C] – The grade from the entrance exam in Chemistry.

  Ranking Score = (3 x B) plus (3 x C) plus L

  All grades are according to the Bulgarian grading scale from 2 (fail) to 6 (excellent). This means that the maximum ranking an applicant can have is 42.
