About the university
Burgas University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” was established in 1963. Sixty years later it counts as one of the best universities in Bulgaria – there are five different faculties that attract students from Bulgaria and abroad. The faculties include:
the Faculty of Technical Sciences,
the Faculty of Natural Sciences,
the Faculty of Social Sciences,
the Faculty of Public Health and Health Care, and
the Faculty of Medicine.

Starting from 2023, Burgas University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” offers Medicine in English – without a doubt, this is the study program that attracts many international applicants whose dream is to become a doctor! It is a Master’s degree and the studies go for 6 years (10 semesters and one-year internship). The tuition fees are 10 000 EUR per year and are paid in two instalments.
