The university offers Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy in English and applicants need to sit an entrance exam in Biology, Chemistry and English. Here are some important dates and details about admission to Sofia Medical University in 2025:

• Entrance exam subjects: The entrance exam subjects are Biology, Chemistry and English. All applicants must sit and pass each section of the exam in order to be considered for admission.
• Entrance exam fee: The entrance exam fee is 400 BGN.
• Entrance exam dates for EU and EEA applicants: EU and EEA applicants sit the entrance exam on 16.09.2025. 
• Entrance exam date for non-EU applicants: Non-EU sit the entrance exam on 19.09.2025. 
• Entrance exam results and ranking: The results come out on 24.09.2025. The ranking comes out the day after – 25th September.
• Ranking formula: Candidates will be ranked according to their high school grades and exam results. The ranking formula is: high school grade in Biology PLUS high school grade in Chemistry PLUS entrance exam grade in Biology PLUS entrance exam grade in Chemistry PLUS entrance exam grade in English. This means that the maximum ranking grade is 30 points.
• Opportunity to retake: A retake is not possible.
